Junior Lifeguard Program
The San Clemente Junior Lifeguard Program is an ocean and beach safety program for young people ages 9-16. Participants receive education and experience in ocean safety, first aid, rescue techniques, body surfing, board surfing, physical fitness, and Marine Safety operations.
**2025 Junior Lifeguard Program Dates**
Session I: June 16 -July 3
Session II: July 7-July 25
Session III: July 28-August 15
New Participant Swim Tests -- March 2025
New participants are required to pass a swim test to be eligible to register for the Junior Lifeguard Program. This entails swimming 4 lengths of the pool (100 yards) in under 2 minutes. Swim tests will be held at Ole Hanson Beach Club on the following days:
March 2, 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, and 30
