Age Well Senior Services
Age Well Senior Services is a nonprofit organization that provides services, resources, and programs to seniors living in South Orange County. These include meal services (delivered and at Senior Centers), transportation, Senior Center activities and programs, case management and health & wellness services. Dorothy Visser Senior Center of San Clemente
The Dorothy Visser Senior Center is operated by Age Well Senior Services and is located in downtown San Clemente at 117 Avenida Victoria, San Clemente, 92672. The center has a fitness room, holds classes and programs, provides special services, and has daily lunches. Call (949) 498-3322 for additional information and to obtain a list of services offered at the Senior Center.
Senior Transportation Services
NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION
Age Well Senior Services provides low-cost transportation to non-emergency medical appointments including therapy, dentistry, health education, prescription pick-ups testing, and x-rays. OC ACCESS SERVICE
OC ACCESS is operated by the Orange County Transportation Authority, and provides a fee-based shared-ride service that is available to qualified applicants whose physical or cognitive limitations prevent them from using the regular OC Bus fixed-route service. OC ACCESS service is provided within ¾-mile of, and during the same hours as, the OC Bus service. For more information or to sign up please the OC ACCESS web page or call (877) 628-2232.
SAN CLEMENTE SENIOR MOBILITY PROGRAM
The San Clemente Senior Mobility Program is a free service that provides San Clemente residents age 60 and over with transportation between their residences and selected San Clemente grocery stores and the Dorothy Visser Senior Center in San Clemente.
The grocery store service provides rides to the following grocery stores within San Clemente and back to senior’s residences, Monday through Thursday:
- Ralph's, 903 S. El Camino Real
- Ralph’s, 638 Camino De Los Mares
- Ralph’s, 811 Avenida Talega
- Albertson’s, 989 Avenida Pico
- Albertson’s, 804 Avenida Pico
- Walmart, 951 Avenida Pico
- Stater Brothers, 616 Camino De Los Mares
- Trader Joe’s, 638 Camino de Los Mares
- Sprouts, 550 Camino De Estrella Unit C
This grocery store service is provided four (4) days a week, Monday through Thursday. Service is not available Friday through Sunday or on holidays.
The senior center service provides rides between senior’s residences and the Dorothy Visser Senior Center located at 117 Avenida Victoria. This service is provided five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday. Service is not available on weekends or holidays. Seniors residing in San Clemente will be picked up from their homes in the morning between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and transported to the center. Seniors are provided a return trip from the senior center to their homes in San Clemente between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
To sign up for the San Clemente Senior Mobility Program please complete and submit an application, which is also available at the Dorothy Visser Senior Center. San Clemente Village - Neighbors Helping Neighbors
San Clemente Village is a local nonprofit, volunteer based, member organization. The Village was created in 2015 to bring local residents age 55 and over together, to support one another and to enjoy an active, connected, and independent life. Village volunteers provide services in the home that can make life easier. Screened and trained volunteers provide services such as transportation, pet assistance, handyman needs, and technology assistance to name a few. General resource information is also available. In addition, Village members have access to a wide array of social and educational opportunities including yoga, bridge, dine around groups, theatre outings and cooking classes.
