General Waste Discharge ApplicationCurrently in UseDue to the use of fats, oils, and grease in the City of San Clemente’s kitchens, it has become necessary for the Utilities Division of the City of San Clemente to require permits for all Food Service Establishments in accordance with Chapter 13.30 of the city code. Permits require the installation of a grease control device to be installed in compliance with Chapter 10 of the California Plumbing Code for all new establishments, change of ownerships, and/or remodels in the city. Each Food Service Establishment with a discharge to the public Sanitary Sewer System will submit an application for permit and Facility Diagrams within 60 days of receiving this letter. A copy of Chapter 13.30 of the city municipal code titled “Use of Sewer Service Facilities by Food Service Establishments Discharging to the Public Sewer” is available online or may be sent to you by request from the Utilities Office, (949) 366-1553.
All food service dischargers, and actions and reports related thereto, shall be in accordance with the requirements contained in this WD Permit. Review this WD Permit immediately and carefully as it contains this facility’s discharge requirements and fee payment responsibilities. Business licenses will be pending until the WD Permit is issued after proper compliance with the Chapter 13.30 ordinance.
