The City has resumed the standard collections process for past-due accounts.  This process begins with outreach to notify users of their balances and encourage enrollment in payment extensions or installment plans.  If you have received a past-due notice and are not able to make payments by your deadline, please contact us to discuss your individual case.

State of California COVID-19 Water Shutoff Protections

The City voluntarily suspended water shutoffs for non-payment in February 2020 and had followed the State of California's Executive Order N-42-20 Protecting Homes, Small Businesses from Water Shutoffs for the effective period from April 2020 through September 2021.  The City also recognized additional water shutoff protections through December 31, 2021 as a part of the California Water and Wastewater Arrearage Payment Program.

The City has since resumed a collections process and accounts in arrears will begin to receive notifications regarding their financial responsibility for unpaid water charges.
