The City of San Clemente announces an opportunity for public comment on the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) Update. We invite all residents, business owners, and stakeholders to review the draft LHMP and provide feedback. Your input is crucial in ensuring that the plan reflects the needs and priorities of our community. The public review period is open from November 15th, 2024 to December 2nd 2024.

The LHMP documents the City’s strategy for reducing the vulnerability to natural hazards (such as wildfires, earthquakes, or drought) and human-caused hazards (hazardous materials spill, pandemic). The purpose of the LHMP is to identify specific projects, actions, and partnerships for the City to become more resilient to hazards in the future.

For more information, please email the Community Development Department at LHMP@san-clemente.org or call (949) 361-6100.
