Who needs an Alarm Permit? 

Any active residential or commercial alarm system in the City of San Clemente must have a permit (Section 8.56.160)

How much does it cost? 

Both residential and commercial alarm permits are $40 per year.
 
Excessive False Alarms Fee 
Excessive false alarms are more than 2 false alarms per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).
Police Department False Alarms = $85.00
Fire Department False Alarms = $300.00  
 
What if I have changes? 

All changes regarding Permit information or cancellation of an Alarm Permit must be submitted in writing to City of San Clemente – Alarm Billing at 910 Calle Negocio, San Clemente, CA  92673 within 10 days of such change.
