Notice under the Americans with Disabilities Act - ADA
In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"), the City of San Clemente will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.
The City of San Clemente will seek to provide, upon request, appropriate aids and services leading to effective communication for qualified persons with disabilities so they can participate equally in the City of San Clemente programs, services, and activities.
The City of San Clemente will make reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy its programs, services, and activities.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City of San Clemente, should contact Robert Ferguson, ADA Coordinator, as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
Anyone who requires a disability-related modification or accommodation in order to participate in a City meeting, including auxiliary aids or services, should contact the City Clerk at (949) 361-8200 as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled meeting.
Complaints that a program, service, or activity of the City of San Clemente is not accessible to persons with disabilities should be directed to Robert Ferguson, ADA Coordinator.
ADA Coordinator
The ADA Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the City of San Clemente to comply with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and investigating any concerns or complaints regarding access to City programs, services or activities. Robert Ferguson, Building Official, has been designated as the ADA Coordinator.

Complaint Process
If informal efforts to remedy accessibility or services issues are not successful, a formal complaint may be submitted. The City of San Clemente has established a grievance procedure for resolving complaints of discrimination on the basis of disability in a prompt and fair manner. To submit a complaint, the official grievance form may be used. If assistance in the filing of a complaint is needed, please contact the ADA Coordinator as listed above.
