Doggie Dive

Bring your dog, with proof of a current LICENSE & RABIES VACCINATION and unleash the FUN at the City of San Clemente’s 4th Doggie Dive event located at the Ole Hanson Beach Club on Saturday, November 18th beginning at 9am! This is a Recreational Swim Event for dogs and their families, before we close the pool for winter maintenance. Dogs run the pool at a DOGS ONLY Pool Paw-ty! Show off your doggie’s style and enter them in the Costume Contest beginning at 9:00am, enjoy a dip in our pools with tennis balls, and eat a tasty treat at the doggie Pie Eating Contest beginning at 11:30am on the front lawn. All events are Dogs Only! Each participant will enjoy prizes and doggie goodie bags while supplies last. Tickets are $7 per dog pre-registered,$10 at the door, humans get in free!
As we aim to create a safe and fun environment we ask participants review the event rules for the protection of all attendees both canine and human:
- Owners must be present and in control of dogs. Owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior and safety at all times.
- Dogs must enter and exit the facility on leash.
- Humans are not allowed in the pool.
- All dogs must have proof of current license and rabies vaccine to enter facility. Submitting license number at the time of pre-registration is recommended for VIP (Very Important Pup) quick check-in, day of. Out of area licensing must bring or submit valid registration with proof of unexpired dog license. (Must include date showing a current out of area license). Pre-registration is encouraged.
- Dogs must be at least 6 months old.
- No aggressive dogs. If your dog is acting aggressively, you and your dog will be excused from the event.
- Female dogs in season are not allowed.
- Outside food (pet or human) is not allowed in the pool area.
- Handlers are limited to no more than 2 dogs and must be 14 years old.
- Owners are responsible for waste removal and clean up.
Pie Eating Contest:
1. Pre-registration required.
2. Dogs must remain leashed during contest.
3. Contest will be held on on the front lawn, beginning at 11:30am.
4. Contestants will be grouped by size: Sml, Med, Lg, or XLg.
