Community Meeting on Coastal Resiliency Concepts

The City will hold a community meeting on Wednesday September 27, 2023 at 5:30-8:00 pm in the Council Chambers at San Clemente City Hall to provide the public with an opportunity to review conceptual draft coastal resiliency design solutions and provide input and feedback to the City.

The coastal resiliency design concepts are a key element of the City’s in-progress  Nature Based Coastal Resiliency Project Feasibility Study which identifies solutions to coastal erosion in the City, building on the upcoming  US Army Corps of Engineers public beach sand replenishment project. The goal of the Study is to develop a suite of coastal resiliency solutions that can add and retain sand to reduce shoreline erosion and widen the City’s beaches using nature-based solutions. More information is available here: www.san-clemente.org/LCP

Community input is an essential part of this Study and residents and other stakeholders are encouraged to provide input on preferred shoreline solutions. Please join the mailing list to stay informed on the progress of this Study and to receive future notices of upcoming meetings and notices of availability of public documents by sending an email to: LCP@San-Clemente.org
