REGISTER ONLINE 

San Clemente Ocean Games, scheduled for Saturday, July 15, 2023, located north of the San Clemente Pier is a series of ocean competitions comprising of three main competitive events: Lifeguard Events, Junior Lifeguard Events, and Open Events.

Early registration is recommended and an early bird discount is available until July 14. Register online at San Clemente Ocean Games  . Onsite registration will be available starting at 6:00 a.m. on the day of the event, without a discount, and with a cashless payment. Entry fees vary depending on the event. Registrants will receive an event T-shirt and a swim cap.

The Lifeguards Events are open to all competitors (ages 16+ years), no ocean lifeguard experience is necessary to participate, and include ten games:

• Surf Race
• Surf Ski Race
• Rescue Relay
• National Doryman Association Three Lap Race
• International Ironman
• Paddleboard Sprint
• Paddleboard Rescue Relay
• American Ironman
• American Ironwoman

Junior Lifeguard Events are open to all youth, in two age groups, ages 9 to12 and 13 to 16 years old, competition include:

• Surf Race (swim)
• Run-Swim-Run
• Beach Flags

Open Events are offered to all ages 15+ years. Competitors have an option of selecting one or all three games, which will all be monitored with chip timing:

• 5K Beach Run
• Run-Swim-Run
• 1 Mile Swim

Awards ceremonies:

• Junior Lifeguard and Open Events are tentatively scheduled for 1:45 p.m.
• Lifeguard Events awards are tentatively scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

The event will also include a Water Rescue Demo performed by San Clemente Marine Safety and a pancake breakfast hosted by Orange County Fire Authority. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available. 

Competitors may not utilize wetsuits.
