What is the purpose of the Coastal Advisory Committee?
|
|
The purpose of the Coastal Advisory Committee is to serve in an advocacy role to outside agencies, organizations and individuals to address the beach as a treasured resource in terms of its recreational and economic benefits. The City has experienced a dramatic loss of beach sand, which has caused damage to beach facilities. Also, urban runoff and how it affects water quality has become an imminent concern to the City.
