Wildland Fire
The City of San Clemente is in the Urban/Wildland Interface and is vulnerable to wildfire. Additionally, our coastal canyons can become very dry and promote the rapid growth of a fire.

Although the City hasn’t had major losses due to a wildfire since 1976, in Southern California we must always be vigilant and prepared for fire.

In 2009 the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) launched its Ready!Set!Go! program to better prepare the community to prevent and prepare for wildfire. Visit the OCFA website for more information.

If a wildland fire is impacting the health or safety of our City, we will provide updates on the front page of the City’s website. For information about fires outside of the City you may find the following links useful:
