San Clemente Collaborative:

The San Clemente Collaborative (SCC) is an alliance of volunteers from social service agencies, faith based and non-profit organizations, service clubs, educators, advocates, city officials and leaders who are actively concerned about the issues that affect the San Clemente Community. Three committees, Youth, Health and Neighborhood Outreach meet monthly to support, expand, and develop new recreation, health, and social services for our community.

Assistance League of Capistrano Valley
|
|
the League is a nonprofit volunteer organization whose members are dedicated to
developing and implementing philanthropic programs to provide human services to
the community. The programs include: Links to Learning assists teachers,
counselors, and media specialists within CUSD middle schools presently;
applicants may request funds for student enrichment or class room aids
approved, but not funded by the district. Operation School Bell provides new
clothing twice a year to school age youth between Kindergarden and 8th grade,
contact your school principal for more information. Kids on the Block provides
puppet programs to elementary school children to help them deal with
disabilities and socially sensitive issues. The Hands on Literacy Program
allows League members to participate in elementary school reading programs.
Member auxiliaries include Las Felices Auxiliary and Assisteens Auxiliary.
Clothing and goods donations are accepted at the Bargain Box Thrift Store to
help raise money for the philanthropies.

Camino Health Services and Dental Clinic
|
|
Low cost Primary Medical Care Services at the walk-in clinic in San Juan
Capistrano, in addition to general medical services provided at a Mobile
Medical Van rotating days between the Las Palmas Elementary School in San
Clemente, Arbor Christian Fellowship in Lake Forest, and the San Juan Adult
Education Center in San Juan Capistrano. Call the Clinic for days and times
available. The WIC Nutrition Program provides food, vouchers, health education
for women and children less than 5 years old. The Dental Clinic offers dental
services to low-income individuals, call for an appointment.

disability. Services available include peer counseling, advocacy, housing
assistance, information and referral, equipment loan, employment book,
