San Clemente Collaborative:
The San Clemente Collaborative (SCC) is an alliance of volunteers from social service agencies, faith based and non-profit organizations, service clubs, educators, advocates, city officials and leaders who are actively concerned about the issues that affect the San Clemente Community. Three committees, Youth, Health and Neighborhood Outreach meet monthly to support, expand, and develop new recreation, health, and social services for our community.

San Clemente Human Affairs Committee
San Clemente Human Affairs Committee meets the second Wednesday of every other even month at 3 p.m. at the Community Center at 200 N. Calle Seville, in downtown San Clemente. Assistance League of Capistrano Valley

the League is a nonprofit volunteer organization whose members are dedicated to developing and implementing philanthropic programs to provide human services to the community. The programs include: Links to Learning assists teachers, counselors, and media specialists within CUSD middle schools presently; applicants may request funds for student enrichment or class room aids approved, but not funded by the district. Operation School Bell provides new clothing twice a year to school age youth between Kindergarden and 8th grade, contact your school principal for more information. Kids on the Block provides puppet programs to elementary school children to help them deal with disabilities and socially sensitive issues. The Hands on Literacy Program allows League members to participate in elementary school reading programs. Member auxiliaries include Las Felices Auxiliary and Assisteens Auxiliary. Clothing and goods donations are accepted at the Bargain Box Thrift Store to help raise money for the philanthropies.

Camino Health Services and Dental Clinic

Low cost Primary Medical Care Services at the walk-in clinic in San Juan Capistrano, in addition to general medical services provided at a Mobile Medical Van rotating days between the Las Palmas Elementary School in San Clemente, Arbor Christian Fellowship in Lake Forest, and the San Juan Adult Education Center in San Juan Capistrano. Call the Clinic for days and times available. The WIC Nutrition Program provides food, vouchers, health education for women and children less than 5 years old. The Dental Clinic offers dental services to low-income individuals, call for an appointment.

CSP Youth Shelter

A 24 hour emergency shelter for youths ages 11-17. Services provided are individual, family and group counseling, school and recreational activities, support services, parenting classes, after care counseling. Program goal is family reunification.

Dayle McIntosh Center for the Disabled:

Is an independent living center which provides services to individuals with any disability. Services available include peer counseling, advocacy, housing assistance, information and referral, equipment loan, employment book, independent living skills training, attendant recruitment and referral, and sensitivity training. Mission Statement: Dayle McIntosh Center is a consumer-based agency that empowers people with any disability by providing an environment to develop options, make informed choices and control their own lives. Fair Housing Foundation
The Fair Housing Foundation (FHF) is a non-profit corporation that has been providing services to municipalities for 44 years. Direct client services are located in the City of Long Beach. FHF offers a comprehensive Fair Housing Program that includes:

Family Assistance Ministries

Friendship Shelter and Henderson House

Friendship Shelter in Laguna Beach provides emergency shelter and counseling for homeless people to regain their self esteem and self sufficiency. Henderson House in San Clemente provides shared transitional housing, counseling and life skills programs for graduates of Friendship Shelter and other shelter programs. Laura’s House - Domestic Violence Program

Public Law Center
PLC provides assistance with a wide array of civil legal issues involving discrimination, education, employment, health care and many other areas of civil law. In addition, PLC’s Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP) helps those who are currently homeless or at serious risk of becoming homeless, provides free legal assistance with family law, landlord tenant disputes, consumer fraud, benefits payments, immigration issues and more.

RIO Adult Day Health Care Center

Non-profit, licensed, Medi-Cal certified day Health Care Program that treats the health and supportive needs of older adults. Staffed with nurses, social workers, therapists, aids, activities, and administrative personnel. Our goals are to prevent premature institutionalization and to provide respite for stressed families.
