Are dogs allowed in City parks?
|
Dogs are allowed on leash at Verde Park, Mira Costa Park and on all city hiking trails. Dogs are not allowed in any other parks. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times and owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs.
The Baron Von Willard Memorial Dog Park, an off-leash dog park is located at 301 Ave. La Pata. The park consists of two areas with separarte entrances, a large dog area for larger dogs and a small dog area for smaller or older dogs that don’t get around so well anymore. The dog park is just past the entrance to Steed Park and there is plenty of on-street parking.
