What is Vision San Clemente?
Vision San Clemente was the first step in the City of San Clemente's General Plan Update Process where the community had the opportunity to shape the future of San Clemente. As reflected in the timeline below, Beginning April 2009, the City sponsored a broad-based public outreach process that focused on what you think about San Clemente and how you would like to see it in 20 years. Through the community's input and participation, the City identifed strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and opportunities to successfully plan for its future. A strategic framework and plan was created that details the community’s priorities and identifies specific tools and mechanisms to achieve the desired goals.
After the completion of the Vision and Strategic Plan the City began the developing the new General Plan where there will be more participation opportunities as the community discusses, evaluates and adjusts the City’s policies to best meet the community's needs now and in the future. Share Your Vision: The City and its consultant prepared a quick four-question community survey to find out what you like, want to see more of, and what you want to see change in San Clemente. We received over 800 responses to the
questionnaire! Click here for a summary of the findings!
