COMMUNITY ALERT SIREN SOUNDED: THERE IS NO EMERGENCY
|
Monday, February 08, 2010
A Community Alert Siren sounded just after 12:00 a.m. today. The siren sounded for less than 20 seconds. There was NO emergency. According to SONGS there is no emergency at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station plant and SONGS personnel are working to determine the reasons for the siren activation. If it were a real emergency there would be information in the media immediately and all sirens would be sounded at the same time for three minutes. Updates will be posted as they become available. If you have questions, please call the City’s Emergency Planning Officer Jen Tucker at (949) 361-6109.
