The 2010 Leadership San Clemente Program will take place from April 8, 2010 to May 27, 2010. Classes are held each Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This class is filling up quickly, and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The City offers an agenda packet subscription service free of charge. If you wish to receive email copies of City Council, Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Human Affairs Committee and/or Coastal Advisory Committee agendas, which include links to each item’s staff report, please send an email to cityclerk@san-clemente.org or call 949-361-8200. Agendas and supporting information relating to upcoming meetings are also available from the City’s website. Simply access www.san-clemente.org, click on Meetings, and then follow the prompts to obtain this information.

Beach Trail Closure
|
Due to this weekend’s rain, the work scheduled for the Beach Trail will begin on Tuesday evening, March 9 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Closures for this work will be from North Beach to the Portal Access. The entire trail south of the Portal Access will remain open.

An award winning program presented by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the Parent Project® provides proven strategies for raising today’s adolescents. Topics include strong-willed and problematic behavior, accountability and consequences, parental influence vs. control, improving school performance, family conflict, negative peer associations, drugs, alcohol, running away and violence.
Dates: January 21 – March 25, 2010(Thursdays)
Time: 6:30 - 9:30 pm (First Six Sessions), 6:30 - 8:30 pm (Last 4 Sessions)
Location: San Clemente High School Library, 700 Avenida Pico.
Cost:$60 (couple or single parent) includes 10 classes and parent manual.

Come learn about the I-5 HOV Lane Extension Project which proposes to widen I-5 between Avenida
Pico and San Juan Creek Road. The project goals are to:
provide continuity of the I-5 mainline carpool network within the project limits
reduce congestion on I-5 within the project limits
relieve local street congestion within interchange areas, on and off ramps and local intersections
