Vacancies on the Human Affairs Committee

The City of San Clemente is accepting applications from interested residents to fill 2 vacancies on the Human Affairs Committee
The City Council will conduct interviews and make appointments Tuesday, July 21, 2009; time TBA.
An application form and description of the functions of the Commissions and Committees are available in the City Clerk's Office located at 100 Avenida Presidio, and on the City’s website at www.san-clemente.org or you may call (949)361-8200.
Must be filed by July 17, 2009 at 5:30 p.m.

San Clemente- Relay For Life

July 25, 2009 at San Clemente High School
Teams of SAN CLEMENTE residents will gather at San Clemente High School on July 25th 10am for a 24-hour relay against cancer. Relay For Life is a family-oriented team event where participants can walk or run relay-style around the track and take part in fun activities off the track. Teams can include co-workers, club members, family and friends who have obtained donations prior to the event.

Join breast cancer survivors, advocates, and teams from San Clemente fighting for a world without breast cancer. The Orange County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure presents the 2009 Orange County Race for the Cure Sunday, Sept. 27 at Fashion Island. The event, which raises significant funds and awareness each year, will feature two 5k walks, a one-mile fun walk and a breast cancer survivor tribute. Participants who register for “In the Pink” VIP status will enjoy various perks on Race day, including exclusive access to the VIP area. All proceeds will fund local breast health initiatives as well as groundbreaking breast cancer research.
