Archeological and Paleontological Resources
|
The City of San Clemente protects its archeological and paleontological resources. These resources are typically exposed during development-related activities such as grading and construction. Federal and state regulations guide their assessment, handling and preservation. State law also requires consultation with local Native American tribes during local planning processes to ensure that archeological and cultural resources are protected, preserved and archived.
