Weekend I-5/Pico Interchange Closures

Post Date:08/18/2017 11:37 AM

8-14-17 Nightly closures on Avenida Pico

Upcoming Weekend Closure at Avenida Pico: The northbound I-5 on- and off-ramps at Avenida Pico are scheduled to close from 10 p.m., Friday, Aug. 18, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21. Avenida Pico under I-5 will also be closed nightly during this time, with at least one lane in each direction remaining open during the daytime. The extended closure will allow crews to pave and stripe the new portions of the ramps that are under construction and to install new traffic signals. On Monday morning, Aug. 21, traffic will be shifted to the new ramps, and the adjacent existing ramps will be closed and reconstructed. Motorists should use caution when driving the new configurations, as there will be new transitions between the ramps and Avenida Pico.

***Motorists should use Avenida Vista Hermosa as a detour during the weekend closure. ***
